Visitor and face mask updates for Beacon locations
Beacon remains committed to the highest level of safety for our patients, visitors, volunteers, providers and staff. Thank you for your support and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for all of our patients to receive care and to protect each other.
Due to the increase in respiratory illness in our community, Beacon Health System has updated its masking and visitor guidelines:
Masking guidelines
In Beacon hospitals:
- Masks are required for all visitors, staff, providers, and volunteers when interacting with hospitalized patients and in other hospital areas with severely immunocompromised patients.
In other Beacon settings, including Beacon Medical Group locations, outpatient care offices/clinics, business offices, and fitness centers:
- In all other Beacon settings, masks are optional, but they should be worn if requested by a patient or staff member. Special consideration should be given to requiring masks in areas where care is delivered to immunocompromised patients.
Masks will be provided at Beacon locations.
