In college Zach was a two-sport athlete, competing in both football and baseball. The origins of his approach toward fitness were derived from his experiences in sport, and the training that prepared him for competition. Since then, he has broadened his focus by exploring how fitness can improve people’s lives in a multitude of areas. Zach advanced his education and professional development by earning his master’s degree in Kinesiology- Sport Psychology and Motor Behavior, and through work in the University of Tennessee Athletic Department. Zach has a passion for integrating the mental and physical performance arenas to develop people holistically, and for the long-term, through effective behavior change and habit formation.

Derek played football and baseball in high school so he’s always enjoyed working out. His first interest in fitness started at a fairly young age. It really began with the interest in people who were big and strong. Over time that grew into a much more in depth desire of learning about the human body and performance and trying to learn the best ways for people to improve their health and/or sport performance. He enjoys all spectrums of fitness and health. He’s always trying to learn new things in all areas that he can use to help other people and also himself!
