Step 1: Fitness Orientation
The first step of the Fitness Orientation allows members to talk with a certified Fitness Specialist about their health and lifestyle goals. Members can also get an in-depth tutorial on how to properly operate all Beacon Health and Fitness state-of-the-art equipment.
This first step is a great opportunity for members to ask questions related to our fitness machines, any health or fitness related topic or BHF classes and programming.
Step 2: Biometric Screening
The second step of the Fitness Orientation provides an accurate and thorough biometric screening. This screening is a short health examination that determines the risk level for certain diseases and medical conditions.
A Fitness Specialist provides several biometric measures including:
- Cholesterol levels for full lipid panel and glucose
- Blood pressure
- Blood glucose levels
- Height
- Weight
- Body mass index (BMI)
Once the screening is complete, results are privately discussed with the Fitness Specialist for your knowledge and convenience.
Step 3: Personal Training Session
Fitness Orientations conclude with step three, a FREE 30-minute personal training session with one of our qualified, American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainers.
This is a great way for members to experience an exercise program designed for their individual fitness or health related goals.
