“It is such a pleasure for me to write and let you know what my fitness journey working with Kathleen Kavanagh has been like for the past two years as my personal trainer.
I’ve always been one to exercise (Cardio!) but came to realize that I’d never really developed strength, which I now know is absolutely necessary if I want the latter part of my years to be active. To top that off, I’ve been dealing with a degenerating knee that persistently reminds me I’m not in my twenties anymore.
Kathleen has worked very hard with me, developing and executing a safe and effective exercise program. She is mindful of form and always takes the time to explain the next movement or exercise before I perform it.
Kathleen understands I’m a little risk averse and she’s been my biggest cheerleader, showing me that I can “lift that weight”, I can “hold that plank” and I am getting stronger. She has been able to help me move through many exercises utilizing weights, kettle bells, TRX bands and other gym equipment I wouldn’t have otherwise used. I am gaining the confidence necessary and using some of the equipment on my own as a result of her guidance.
Kathleen is a true professional and I can’t thank her enough for helping me along my fitness journey. Under her direction, I look forward to my workouts as I continue to meet my fitness goals.
