Elkhart General Hospital and Memorial Hospital of South Bend signed a memorandum of understanding to form an affiliation.

Elkhart General Hospital and Memorial Hospital of South Bend officially affiliated under a new organization.

2012

Beacon Health System was selected as the new name for the parent organization.

2012

Beacon Health Ventures formed, bringing together Memorial Home Care, Elkhart General Home Care, Compassionate Caregivers, then Mar-Main Pharmacy and Partners in Personal Care.

2013

Elkhart General Medical Group and Memorial Medical Group come together to form Beacon Medical Group, the largest, most integrated physician group in the region.

2014

Elkhart General Home Care opened 36,500-square-foot facility.

2014

Beacon partnered with HealthWays to promote health and well-being through a new approach called Population Health.

2015

Beacon began exploring the idea to create a Blue Zones Project® in north central Indiana to create an even healthier, happier and vibrant place to live for years to come.

2015

Beacon marked the beginning of construction of the new Beacon Health & Fitness facility in Mishawaka, a 67,000-square-foot facility that will include the latest fitness equipment and a sports performance clinic.

Memorial Epworth Center and Elkhart General Behavioral Health services integrated into a single, cohesive group called Beacon Psychiatry.

January 2016

Beacon Home Care is established as the new name and brand for Elkhart General Home Care and Memorial Home Care.
