How High Glucose Interferes with Wound Healing

Jacelyn Hostetter, FNP-BC, to be the guest speaker at an upcoming community diabetes chat session sponsored by Elkhart General’s Diabetes Support Group and the Center for Wound Healing.

Thursday, November 14, at Elkhart Health & Aquatics, 200 East Jackson Boulevard, Elkhart.

FREE blood glucose testing from 5 to 6 p.m.
Community chat with guest speaker from 6 to 7 p.m.

Jackie” Hostetter was born and raised in southern Elkhart County and continues to live there with her family. She completed her BSN at Purdue University in 2007 and went on to complete her MSN at Indiana University, South Bend in 2013. Jacelyn is a board certified nurse practitioner in family medicine with prior bedside nursing care experience in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric homecare with Beacon Healthcare. Jacelyn’s wound care experience was preceded by two years of family medicine when she joined the Center for Wound Healing in December of 2015. The mission of the Center for Wound Healing is to restore health and improve the quality of life and access to care for patients with wounds.

The Elkhart General Hospital Diabetes Support Group gives adults with diabetes and their families and friends continuing support. Free and open to the public. No registration necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. For questions, call 574.523.3297.
