SUMMARY:Surgical Options for Dialysis Patients
DESCRIPTION:Click HERE to Access Teams Recording \nSurgical Options for Dialysis Patients \nPresented By: Peter Kang\, MD\nTrauma Surgical Elkhart\, Beacon Medical Group \nIt was while teaching on the Navajo Reservation that Peter Chulhi Kang\, MD\, decided on a career on medicine. “I remember being in the emergency department with a loved one after a suicide attempt. I felt helpless and wished that I could do something useful\,” he says. Dr. Kang completed a Bachelor of Sciences in Molecular Biology at UCLA\, as well as a Master of Sciences in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University. He graduated medical school at the University of Wisconsin\, then began residency training in vascular surgery at the University of Washington before transitioning to residency training in General Surgery at Harbor-UCLA. Dr. Kang also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Western New Mexico University during his time as a middle school teacher. “I like to think of myself as someone who can fix a broad range of problems.” Dr. Kang says. “General Surgeons are trained to take care of a broad range of diseases. I chose General Surgery because I wanted to be able to go anywhere in the world and treat a wide variety of diseases even in the most resource-limited places.” His philosophy as a provider is to make the good health of his patients as his primary goal. Dr. Kang hopes his patients find him trustworthy through the ways he demonstrates competence\, commitment\, and integrity.
