SUMMARY:Studying and Targeting Cancer Immunomechanics on Earth and in Space
DESCRIPTION:Click HERE to Access Teams Recording \nClick HERE to Access CME Evaluation \nStudying and Targeting Cancer Immunomechanics on Earth and in Space \nPresented By: Meenal Datta\, PhD\nAssistant Professor\, University of Notre Dame; Bioengineering Graduate Program; Materials Science and Engineering Program; Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering; Department\nof Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (concurrent) \n  \n \nMeenal Datta’s research focuses on deciphering the atypical tumor microenvironment that drives disease progression and treatment resistance in incurable cancers. By understanding and overcoming the biological\, chemical\, electrical\, and mechanical abnormalities found in solid tumors\, new therapeutic approaches can be discovered. Dr. Datta also researches health science in space (e.g.\, in microgravity environments) to benefit patients on Earth. \nShe also holds a concurrent position in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. \n  \n
