As the first member of her family to practice medicine, Dr. Wei\u00a0X. Huff\u2019s passion and career stem from her experiences. \u201cWhen\u00a0I was a little girl, I had to go to the ER because I was sick.\u00a0\u00a0While I was there, I saw the doctors helping someone who had\u00a0been in an accident. I thought they were so heroic and decided\u00a0I wanted to be like them when I grew up.\u201d Dr. Huff achieved\u00a0that dream.<\/p>\n

As a neurosurgeon, Dr. Huff performs surgery on the brain\u00a0and spinal cord. She treats everything from back pain to brain\u00a0cancer. \u201cI chose neurosurgery because it is not only a very\u00a0technically challenging specialty but also one where I can have\u00a0a very direct and positive impact on my patients.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Huff is highly-experienced in her specialized field. She\u00a0received her Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School\u00a0of Medicine in Indianapolis, and a Doctor of Philosophy in\u00a0Chemistry from Purdue University. She also obtained a Bachelor\u00a0of Science in Pharmacy from Fudan University in Shanghai,\u00a0China. Along with her education, Dr. Huff completed residency\u00a0in neurosurgery and fellowship in Neuro-Oncology (focused\u00a0training on brain and spine tumors) from Indiana\u00a0University\u00a0School of Medicine.<\/p>\n

She joined the Beacon team for both the prestigious providers\u00a0and the beautiful community. \u201cBeacon employs outstanding\u00a0providers with whom I am excited to work and is in a great\u00a0town to settle down and raise a family.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dr. Huff is already living Beacon\u2019s value of compassion in her\u00a0practice philosophy. \u201cEveryone is someone\u2019s son or daughter,\u00a0their grandparent, their spouse, or their sibling.
