Nikhil S. Patankar, MD, MBA


Dr. Patankar received his medical degree from Grant Medical College, Mumbai, India in 2005. Subsequently, he completed his pediatric residency from Seth G.S. Medical College and Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children in Mumbai, India in 2009.

He also completed his second pediatrics residency from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, NY in 2014 and then stayed on to do his fellowship training in pediatric critical care, which he completed in June 2017. Dr. Patankar also received his master business administration degree from University at Buffalo School of Management while he pursued his pediatric critical care fellowship.

Dr. Patankar joined Beacon Children?Í_?_s Hospital as pediatric intensivist and director for quality for the PICU and is board-certified in pediatrics and board-eligible in pediatric critical care.

In his spare time, Dr. Patankar enjoys long drives and nature travel with his wife, playing tennis and reading science fiction.
