Susan J. Sherman, MD, FACOG

About

Dr. Sherman received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She then completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Sinai Hospital of Detroit. She continued her education with a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Southern California- Los Angeles County Women’s Hospital.

Dr. Sherman has served in a number of roles, ranging from solo practice, to group practice, to chairman of an OB-GYN department. She has worked in a variety of settings across the United States, including community-based, faith-based, university center and military facilities. In Michigan, where she grew up, she worked for the Ascension and Henry Ford health systems.

With more than 25 years of experience in her field, Dr. Sherman has published in peer-reviewed publications such as the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Medical Association and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

Dr. Sherman is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and subspecialty certified in maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Her areas of special interest include prenatal diagnosis and ultrasound.

Dr. Sherman speaks Spanish and in her free time, she enjoys gardening, biking, traveling and spending time with her family.
