Preparing for Childbirth: Learn about pregnancy, the labor process, delivery, common medical interventions and relaxation techniques through a variety of hands-on experience.

After Baby Comes: Learn how to soothe and care for your new baby at home.

Childbirth E-Class: Take an interactive online childbirth class at your convenience and learn everything you need to know about childbirth, including comfort techniques during labor, medical procedures, tips for partners and much more. Register for this class or watch the online demo. Three months of access to all class content for only $25.

Meet Our Educators

Bethany is the perinatal education coordinator. She is an R.N., Certified childbirth instructor and certified CPR instructor. She graduated from Bethel College and has been a nurse at Memorial Hospital since 2011. One of Bethany’s career goals has always been to teach in the healthcare field and is loving the opportunity to live out that dream. Her goal is to bring as much knowledge and preparation to expectant parents as one of the most memorable and joyous days of their lives approach.

Gemma is a LPN, (Licensed Practical Nurse), Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator and IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). She has served as a birth/breastfeeding educator for Beacon Health System since 2005. She graduated in 1980 from Arlington Memorial Hospital School of Vocational Nursingin Texas. Gemma has worked in a variety of nursing positions, including Childbirth Unit, Mother Baby, Pediatrics and Family Medicine. She currently teaches our hospital breastfeeding classes and works at our Beacon Breastfeeding Support Group. She is passionate about teaching how women are wonderfully created to give birth and to feed their babies.


Morgan is an RNC, certified in inpatient obstetrics. She is the educator for the After Baby Comes, Childbirth and Super Sibling classes. Morgan has worked on the Childbirth Unit since 2012. She is a graduate from The University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne. Morgan is passionate about teaching and preparing new parents, families and siblings about some of the most exciting moments in their lives.

Classes are led by educators who are specialized nurses in Lamaze (healthy birth practices for safe childbirth and labor), inpatient obstetrics and lactation.
