Why Beacon?

  • The most complete range of care — Locations all across the region mean employees get the care they need without having to travel far from home and miss work. Employees recover best at home, allowing them to return to work sooner.
  • Highest-quality physicians and providers — Board-certified physicians from multiple specialties mean employees get the best care possible. Partners and collaborators such as the Mayo Clinic mean Beacon’s experts have experts, so employees always have access to the most advanced care available.
  • Local service — We live here. We work here. We’re part of this community, so we understand local employers and their unique needs. Our team listens to you to find the best options, customized to your and your employees’ needs — and your budget.
  • Convenient occupational services — These services make it easy for employees to receive outstanding care by professionals who understand your business needs. Delivered in a Beacon Occupational Health Clinic, in a clinic at your worksite or onsite through visits to your facilities.
  • Best value — Employees don’t have to go out of network for specialty services, meaning they and you get more for your money.

This all adds up to better access to outstanding care, leading to less missed time for illness and better productivity, and a healthier bottom line. A smart investment now means fewer expenses later.

Health care network options that fit your needs

Several health care networks let you customize coverage to your and your employees’ needs to improve quality of care and satisfaction while saving you money. Our consultants work with you to find the best options for your business.

  • Community Health Alliance (CHA) — A physician hospital organization (PHO) and locally owned regional network of carefully selected physicians, hospitals and other important regional health care providers who have joined forces to control costs while ensuring high-quality service. CHA is a locally owned and operated partnership between Beacon Health System and Medical Associates of Michiana, an independent physician association (IPA). CHA gives you access to:
    • 141 hospitals and other centers of excellence including Memorial Hospital, Elkhart General, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic and the University of Chicago Hospitals and more
    • More than 42,000 provider locations
    • Providers and facilities in 63 counties in Indiana and Southwest Michigan
  • Beacon ACO, LLC — Beacon’s Accountable Care Organization (ACO) that consists of a network of carefully selected providers who work together to provide the best healthcare experience possible at a reduced cost. Patients benefit from more preventative screenings, better coordinated care, greater patient-physician communication, better health education and more.
  • Quality Care Alliance (QCA) — Network designed in partnership with you to meet your unique needs. QCA helps employers in Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties and the surrounding area control health-care costs through a narrow provider network. Employees get enhanced services and education, better benefit management and greater pricing transparency.
