Overview
Onychocryptosis is an ingrown toenail. This occurs when the corner or side of a toenail grows into the flesh.
Symptoms
The condition usually affects the big toe. Pain and inflamed skin can occur. People who have diabetes are at greater risk of complications.
Treatments
Lifting or removing the toenail can help.
