Adult Hematology & Medical Oncology

Hematology Oncology is the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of blood diseases and cancers, such as iron-deficiency anemia, hemophilia, sickle-cell disease, leukemia and lymphoma.

A Hematologist/Oncologist is trained in hematology (the study of blood), and oncology (the study of cancer). Our specialists work with each patient to provide education, symptom control and treatment options that meet each person’s individual needs.

Hematology/Medical Oncology specializes in a wide range of blood disorders and cancers. Disorders include benign diseases affecting red and white blood cells, platelets, bone marrow, lymph nodes, spleen, and the proteins involved in bleeding and clotting. They also include cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma.

Our specialized Hematology Oncologists provide advanced treatments such as molecularly targeted therapy, immunotherapy and chemotherapy for all types of cancers including but not limited to brain, head and neck, lung, breast, colon, pancreas, liver, kidney, bladder, prostate and rectal cancers.
