Connecting the Dots

Four new Physician Liaisons were recently introduced to help educate all physicians and their staff on the various new services, programs, procedures and technologies within Beacon Health System. Under the direction of Diane Maas, Vice President of Managed Care & Business Development, the four-member team includes Cindy Bellina, R.N., BSN, Elizabeth Campbell, Michael Marchi and Casey Norton, R.N.

In addition to working with all physicians at Elkhart General Hospital and Memorial Hospital, they will enhance the communication between Beacon and the physician offices, including Beacon Medical Group facilities, in St. Joseph County, Elkhart County and surrounding counties. The liaisons will be a resource in the referral process for several service lines. Please welcome them to Beacon.

Tawnn Hoover, who has been the Memorial Hospital Physician Liaison for the past six years, is transitioning to a more hospital-based position. Her role will be Physician Relations, where she will manage physician onboarding, recruitment and problem solve any hospital-based concerns brought forth by the liaisons. Jeanne VanPutten, formerly Physician Liaison, is similarly transitioning into the Physician Relations role at Elkhart General. Tawnn is under the direction of Cheryl Wibbens, M.D., Memorial Hospital Vice President of Medical Affairs, while Jeanne is under the direction of Genevieve Lankowicz, M.D., Vice President of Medical Affairs at Elkhart General.
