e.crew Team Tackles Engagement

0615-ftt-ecrew

This year, associates selected for e.crew are focusing on developing ways to improve associate engagement. This stems from the associate engagement survey completed by all Beacon associates in September 2014. The next associate engagement survey will take place in September.

“As we continue to look for ways to improve engagement, Beacon’s executive team decided to ask the 2015 e.crew team to help us look for ways to make improvements around a few specific engagement questions,” says Jinny Longbrake, Director, Associate Relations, Beacon Health System. “We felt e.crew was the right group of associates because they are nominated by their colleagues as being engaged, extraordinary and exhibiting Beacon’s values.”

One of the e.crew teams, Executive Respect, is working with members of Beacon’s Administration to develop new and innovative strategies to improve relationships between Beacon executives and associates based on a response to this statement from the survey: “Executives at my organization respect the contributions of my unit/department.”

The team recently conducted a housewide survey asking associates to respond to various questions. More than 1,000 associates responded and answers are being analyzed to determine possible solutions.

The Executive Respect e.crew team members include: John Albright, Jewel Abram-Copenhaver, Danie’la Edson, Deneice Eyestone, Savannah Garland, Emily Gilley, Kayla Grove, Diana Hojara, Jill King, Jinny Longbrake, Rebecca Lovan, Ruth Miles, Loren Waggy, Kimberly Wieczorek, Scott Williamson, Katherine Wirebaugh and Darrel Yoder. The project champion is Jinny Longbrake.
