It Takes Us All…

Hands united together

You are important to Beacon and patient care. It takes each and every Beacon associate working together to ensure our patients receive the best care.

Think about all the different job classifications within Beacon. While “clinicians” provide direct patient care, they would not be able to do their job without non-clinical associates doing their jobs. When a nurse going into a patient’s room that has not been cleaned, food has not been delivered or the room is in need of repair, the nurse would need to devote time to care for these non-clinical functions, which may reduce the clinical care the patient needs.

Let us not forget about all the preventative services Beacon associates provide at physician offices, Home Care and community services. As much as we all love our jobs, most of us need to receive a paycheck, which is possible because finance manages patient flow by billing and collecting money, which is used to pay us.

The next time you are working, do not just think of your job as a job, think about the patient care YOU will be affecting – it could be your family member. Thank you for caring enough to work at Beacon where your job is not just a job, it is providing a healing touch in one way or another
