Vaccine efforts to shift to mobile sites, offices

Relief, excitement, anticipation and every emotion in-between ran through our Elkhart General Hospital vaccine clinic team members when the first shipment of vials arrived on the loading dock on December 17, 2020. Our team is proud to serve in a vital role in our community’s efforts against COVID-19.

Now, with more than 45,000 total vaccine doses delivered and the expansion of vaccine access regionally through coordination among our local and state health agencies and retail locations, the Elkhart General Vaccine Clinic is preparing to transition from a mass clinic to providing vaccines in mobile clinics and doctors’ offices at the end of June.

Our work against the pandemic continues. In our hospitals, emergency departments, doctors’ offices, pharmacies, laboratories, urgent care and testing sites, Beacon teams are doing everything they can to simultaneously care for COVID-positive patients while being there for all of our community’s healthcare needs.

We are grateful for our community’s continued support of all of our Beacon teams.
