Beacon Health System names Kira Carter-Robertson as new Elkhart General president
Beacon Health System announces that Kira Carter-Robertson, BS, MHA, FACHE, has been named president of Elkhart General Hospital, effective Nov. 3.
Carter-Robertson brings more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience to her new role, with expertise that includes driving operational excellence, enhancing patient experience and leading strategic planning and organizational growth.
“I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead Elkhart General Hospital and join Beacon Health System,” Carter-Robertson said.
“It’s an honor to step into this role and join a team that is committed to excellence in patient safety, quality and engagement and partnership with the community. I look forward to connecting with team members, providers and community partners as we continue to grow and deliver exceptional care in the region,” she added.
Most recently, Carter-Robertson served as chief operating officer for University of Michigan Health – Sparrow, based in Lansing, Michigan, advancing through senior leadership roles during her tenure.
She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has been recognized with numerous honors for her contributions to the field, including Modern Healthcare’s Up & Comers Award, the Leadership in Action Award from Career Mastered Magazine and accolades from the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Carter-Robertson received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in health administration from Saint Louis University. She is also deeply engaged in community service, serving on several nonprofit and foundation boards.
