Five-year-old Jacari Payle was looking forward to this visit for days. In fact, special homemade ‘Welcome Globetrotters’ artwork hung from his hospital room door, along with every other doorway in the hallway.

With the spunk and enthusiasm you’d expect from any 5-year old, Jacari stared wide-eyed as 6 foot 3 inch Harlem Globetrotter Herb “Flight Time” Lang strolled into Jacari’s hospital room and World-Famous Globetrotters Visit Children began spinning, bouncing and passing his basketball like only a Globetrotter can. Signing autographs for every child who was able to see visitors that day, Flight Time spent hours bringing smiles to kids, families and staff.

The Globetrotters were in town to play their annual game at Notre Dame’s Purcell Pavilion, and made a special stop at Memorial Children’s Hospital, and we are so grateful they did!
