Job Summary
Beacon Kalamazoo Surgical Specialties is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Trauma Surgeon to join our expanding surgical team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a physician-led, integrated health system dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care while supporting physician wellness and professional growth.
Our trauma and acute care surgery program serves a diverse patient population and offers the opportunity to practice the full spectrum of trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Level II Trauma Center
- Comprehensive trauma and acute care surgery practice
- Strong multidisciplinary support from surgical subspecialists, hospitalists, critical care providers, APPs, and nursing teams
- Experienced trauma program infrastructure

Candidate Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
- Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care preferred
- Eligible for Michigan medical licensure
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork
- Interest in trauma surgery, emergency general surgery, and critical care
Work Schedule
Physicians interested in this position will work 14 – 12hour shifts per month with on-call/back-up responsibility, day and night rotation.
