Job Summary

Beacon’s Pediatric Hospital Medicine program provides comprehensive care for hospitalized infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Responsibilities include  general and subspecialty/surgical care, as well as moderate sedation, in addition to teaching of Family Medicine residents, Hospital Medicine program development and quality improvement initiatives. 

As the region’s only designated children’s hospital, Beacon Children’s Hospital serves as a referral center for 29 hospitals across Southwestern Michigan and Northern Indiana. Our team treats a wide variety of complex medical and surgical conditions, offering families access to advanced pediatric care close to home. The Hospital Medicine group works closely with a wide variety of pediatric specialists as part of a multidisciplinary approach.  

Work Schedule

  •  The schedule includes a combination of in-house 12-hour, 10-hour and 6-hour shifts.  
  • No NICU, PICU, nursery, or delivery coverage.

Leadership Role Opportunities

Affiliation with Indiana University School of Medicine at Notre Dame and Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency allows for teaching of residents, medical students and supervision of post-graduate trainees.
