Welcome to Open Swim!

Open swim at Elkhart Health & Aquatics gives members of the community a chance to swim in its larger than Olympic-sized swimming pool.

Frequently Asked Questions:

When is open swim? For open swim times, see our Commons calendar.

What should I bring? Family-friendly swimsuit, towel, and, if needed, swim diaper, US Coast Guard approved life jacket, puddle jumpers.

What should I leave at home? Flotation devices, including water wings, noodles and rafts.

Where can I swim? The 4-foot deep end of the competition pool.

Which locker room do I use? Public men, public women and family changing areas are available for use.

Do you have towels? Please bring your own from home.

Can youth participate? Yes! Children 12 and under MUST be accompanied by a parent IN the water. Swimmers between 13-17 must be accompanied by an adult in the pool area. The ratio for these requirements is 5 children to 1 adult.

Must parents remain on site? Under 18, parent must remain on the premises at all times.

Are there lifeguards on duty? Yes! Always!
