Hospital Medical Education (HME) Program
The Hospital Medicine Education (HME) Program gives you the chance to spend part of your summer learning about clinical medicine and community health in a community hospital setting. Throughout the program, you’ll rotate through a wide variety of hospital-based and outpatient specialties—potentially up to 25–30 different areas of practice.
This unique experience is designed to help you explore potential career paths, strengthen your clinical knowledge and skills, and see firsthand how community hospitals provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Timeline Highlights:
- Application Due: January 9, 2026
- Interviews: The week of January 12th
- In person Interview – January 13th from 8:30 to 10:00AM
- Virtual Interview Option 1 – January 16th from 12:00 to 1:30PM
- Virtual Interview Option 2 – January 16th from 2:00 to 3:30PM
- Program Dates: May 18 – July 10, 2026
- Options for 4, 6, or 8 weeks
