Recognizing the importance of patient safety
Thanks to all of the Beacon teams who are spreading the word about patient safety in recognition of Patient Safety Awareness Week, March 11 to 18. Here are some upcoming activities:
Friday, March 9:
Memorial Hospital is holding a Safety Fair on Friday, March 9, to kick off Patient Safety Awareness Week. Go to the Beacon intranet to view, print or download the flyer and activity passport.
Spring Into Safety
Friday, March 9, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Hospital Auditorium hallways
Visit each Spring Break destination, get a stamp in your passport and enter for a chance to win a fabulous prize! (Must complete passport to enter for prizes.) Prizes include:

Be sure to catch a South Bend Fire Department fire safety presentation and fire extinguisher use demonstration at the top of every hour: Cooking Safety, Workplace Evacuation, Extinguisher Training, Smoke and CO alarms in the home, Home Escape Planning.
