Indiana Inpatient palliative care services

Memorial Hospital of South Bend and Elkhart General Hospital have a member of the inpatient interdisciplinary palliative care team available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our inpatient team partners with patients, families and care teams to provide support during hospitalization. Any physician or provider on a patient’s care team may request consultations.

Inpatient services include:

• Symptom management and pain control
• Goals-of-care discussions
• Advance care planning
• Emotional and spiritual support
• Family support and care coordination
• Assistance navigating complex medical decisions
