Inpatient palliative care

Beacon offers inpatient palliative care services at Beacon Kalamazoo, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Our inpatient team partners with patients, families and care teams to provide support during hospitalization. Consultations may be requested by physicians, nurses, chaplains or other members of the care team.

Inpatient services include:

• Symptom management and pain control
• Goals-of-care discussions
• Advance care planning
• Emotional and spiritual support
• Family support and care coordination
• Assistance navigating complex medical decisions
