Opioid Use Disorder

- Identify patients with suspected OUD and initiate treatment using SBIRT: Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment
- Describe the three FDA-approved medications for OUD and initiate buprenorphine treatment
- Implement overdose prevention and harm reduction strategies
Dr. Kretzer earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Illinois and has been with Alosa Health for the last 6 years training prescribers on pain management and Opioid Use Disorder nationwide. She has years of experience in clinical education, pharmacy, and academic detailing. Additionally, she manages clinical educators around the country, trains new and existing hires, assists in material development, and researches and contributes to new business opportunities. Kelly also assists in training pharmacists as academic detailers within the Veterans Affairs Administration and Indiana Health Services (IHS), and individuals as peer recovery coaches. Prior to her work with Alosa Health, she was an independent healthcare consultant, a practicing pharmacist, and was in sales and medical education for the pharmaceutical industry.
