Face mask update for Beacon locations

Beacon remains committed to the highest level of safety for our patients, visitors, volunteers, providers and staff.

After careful review of national, state, regional and organization-level respiratory illness data, Beacon is adopting an optional masking protocol within Beacon hospitals effective April 4, 2024.

There are still some situations, however, in which a mask could be required for associates, patients or visitors in all Beacon settings, including:

  • In areas where care is delivered to immunocompromised patients;
  • For anyone who has been exposed to COVID in the past 10 days;
  • For all individuals with respiratory symptoms (even if COVID testing is negative);
  • As required per standard and isolation precautions;
  • If you choose to wear a mask;
  • If requested by a patient or staff member for an encounter.

Masks will continue to be provided at Beacon locations.

Thank you for your support and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for all of our patients to receive care and to protect each other.
